Hi
I am making a 9 day trip to Japan. I will be flying into Tokyo Narita and spend 2 days in Tokyo. Other that i will be going to Kyoto for 3 and on the way back to Tokyo i will be passing by Mt. Fuji for 2 days. Am i correct in thinking that the best option is to get a 7day JRpass and cover the first 2 days in Tokyo with normal tickets or day passes?

Thank you in advance for your kind assistance.

Kind regards
Kurt

Hi Kurt,

Yes the JR Pass will offer a good option for your itinerary and you can make good savings with it, given that you cover the return Tokyo - Kyoto and at least one way to Narita Airport with it. From there any additional travel will also go to your savings.

Depending a Fuji you may have to use additional transport. This however depends where any how you wish to visit Fuji.

Hope this helps,
Daniel
