Hi, my husband is a wheelchair user, please can you confirm whether trains are generally accessible or whether we will need to book special assistance. We are planning to travel from Narita Airport to Tokyo, on to Hakone and finally Kyoto.

Many thanks

Hi there,

Yes, major stations all have Wheel chair access and facilities, think of Tokyo, Narita and Kyoto.

I can't say for sure about Hakone, as there are many smaller stations around there.

Kind regards,
Daniel
