We have plan for backpacking to Japan on Jan 12,2015 - Jan 22, 2015. We suppose to use JR Pass for transportation. The place on our plan is Tokyo, Hakone, Gala, Disneyland. We would like to know that " How do we plan to go first between Tokyo or The place around Tokyo? " and " How do we buy JR Rass for value transportation & saving money? "

Hi Pizzielarr,
I checked your plan for the best options and think it would be best to buy normal tickets for your travel. The JR Pass if great when traveling cross country, in the itinerary above, travel is not that far apart.
You could look at buying a Suica card which will make traveling around Tokyo easy.
