Hi! Our family will visit beautiful Japan from July 11th to 21st. I would like to know our best option for traveling during those days, since we are not sure if either a regional pass or Jr pass would be best for us .Our itinerary is as follows:

Nrt - Kyoto
Kyoto - Tour
Kyoto - Fushimi Inari
Kyoto - Nara - Osaka - Kyoto
Kyoto - Hiroshima
Kyoto - Tokyo
Tokyo
Tokyo Disney Sea
Tokyo - Kamakura
Tokio- Fuji - Tokio
Tokio - Narita Airport

Thank you for your help!

Hi there,

If you are able to fit your train journeys between when you leave Narita to when you return to Tokyo in a 7-day period, I'd suggest purchasing a 7-day JR Pass for this and then purchasing the rest of your tickets individually - the JR Pass won't be of much use to you in Tokyo as it is better for inter-city travel, but it will cover the rest of your itinerary as well as basic metro travel in Tokyo so a 14-day JR Pass would also be an option worth looking into.

Hope this helps!

Alexis
