Hi,

We have a trip booked from 25 April - 12 May from Tokyo Haneda airport to final destination Fukuoka airport and would like to know whether we can book some loose train tickets in the first part of our travel and only a 7 days JPR pass starting from Kyoto to Fukuoka.
Could you advise us what is the most convenient way?
And to buy a Suica card in Tokyo to use it in the major cities; is this possible?.
Also to buy our e sim card beforehand online for our mobiles?

Day 1-7 Tokyo (25 April-1 May)
And to do one or two day trips from Tokyo to:
Kamakura -Tokyo
Hakone-Tokyo
and maybe
Tokyo - Nikko

Day 7-Day 9 (1 May - 3 May) from Tokyo - to Takayama

Day 9 (3 May) from Takayama to leave early morning (think easiest with the Nohi bus) to Kanazawa

Day 10-13 ( 4 May - 7 May) from Kanazawa to Kyoto

Day 13-15 ( 7 May - 9 May) from Kyoto to Osaka

Day 15-16 (9 May - 10 May) from Kyoto - Koyasan

Day 16 -17 (10 May - 11 May) Koyasan - Osaka

Day 17 -18 (11 May - 12 May) Osaka - Hiroshima

Day 18 (12 May) Hiroshima - Fukuoaka airport (end)

Thank you.

Hi there,

Yes, you can use individual tickets for the initial part of your trip. Then, activate your 7-day JR Pass on the 12th of April, and it will be valid until the 18th of April. A Nationwide JR Pass offers convenient travel, eliminating the need to purchase individual tickets for each journey.

Unfortunately, Suica Cards and eSIMs are not currently available on JRPass.com.

I hope this helps!

Kind Regards,

Mariko
