Hello. I will be arriving Osaka in July and staying 7 days there. On day 8 , I will be travelling to Kyoto and stay for 2 nights. On day 10, travel to Tokyo and stay 3 days.
Would it be cheaper to use the JR pass for those travels or just purchase single ride tickets for the travelling days?

For this ride, it would be cheaper to just buy single tickets. A JR Pass makes sense when you make a return trip Tokyo - Osaka/Kyoto.
