I will be arriving to Japan December 30th and would like to utilize the JRPass during my stay. I was wondering how we would go about getting passes for current rates. I have a couple of friends who are also in the same boat as me in trying to purchase the JR pass.

Unless you arrive earlier in Japan, it will not be possible to use current pricing for your date.
