We will do a 10 day trip from Tokyo-Kyoto (2 nights) - Tokyo. Traveling with a 6 years old. Should I just go ahead and purchase 4 nationwide Japan rail pass tickets or if there is a cheaper ticket kind we can purchase instead? In addition, would this Jr rail pass cover suica? Thank you very much in advance.

I do recommend using the 7-day JR Pass for travel to Kyoto and back to Tokyo. Together with local travel it will be worth while.
