Two questions about buying a Japan Rail Pass today

Dear JRPass,

My 19 year old daughter leaves for Japan a week from today, on Friday 6th January. She will be in Japan for three months on a tourist visa. I want to buy her a two-week standard Japan Rail Pass. I have two questions:

  1. If I make the purchase today, when will the voucher be delivered? Due to the strikes, etc., the postal service in our part of London is extremely delayed. Do you use a courier?

  2. My daughter wants to use the pass during the last two weeks of her stay in Japan. So she will activate the pass on or about March 20th, 2023. If I buy the pass today, will the voucher still be valid?

Hi John,

1.) Sorry for the delay, our office was closed during the holiday period. I realize there is not much time, but should you wish it, then pick-up in our London office is an option. Alternatively, we could also ship to Japan.

2.) Yes, the pass is valid for 3 months after issue date (i.e. can be exchanged).
