Can I book a Shinkansen ticket on the same day I want to travel?

No. Same-day and next-day bookings are not available. The earliest travel date you can book is two days from today.

What's the maximum number of passengers per booking?

You can book up to 6 passengers in a single booking. For larger groups, please place multiple bookings.

What is the cancellation fee?

If you cancel before departure, you'll be refunded 90% of the ticket price (10% fee). You can cancel up to 6 hours prior to your departure.

Can I change my booking at the station instead of online?

No. JRPass tickets must be modified through JRPass.com support.

What happens if I miss my Shinkansen?

The ticket is non-refundable. You will need to purchase a new ticket, or a partial replacement ticket if applicable.

Learning from your website about greeters and paying for one made the start of our trip wonderful!
