We are going to japan Japan 24 sept.-07 oktober. Route: Osaka-Kyoto-Nagoya-Takayama-Matsumoto-Nagano-Togakushi-Nikko-Tokyou. 4 adults, 1 child (8y).What is the best options to travel by?
Is it complicated to buy buss tickets as a foreigner? Is it crowdy in that period?

For this route I would just buy tickets as you travel, there's not a pass that would help you make savings here.
It is not a period that is busy in particular, for trains and long distance busses I'd buy your tickets 1-2 days ahead of time but this can even be done on the day of travel.
Typically but tickets are not hard to buy, but it can be different depending on the bus. Was there a route you are worried about?
