Thank you! However, I was reading somewhere that some JR services to Hokkaido had been disrupted due to the earthquake last year and will only resume in May. Just wondering if that's still the case now? Thanks.

You may have been reading some news for 2011. All JR-East trains running between Tokyo and Hokkaido are fully operational. The only trains that are still out of service in the JR-East area are a few lines directly on the coast.

The current service status of JR East Tokyo>Hokkaido bullet train is viewable online.
