Green Class

Hi there,

Green Seats are available for all these routes but the Sakura Shinkansen between Hakata (Fukuoka) and Shin-Osaka only have half a carriage with Green Seats. Be sure to reserve these 1-2 days in advance, to be secure of your seat. That said, the Sakura Green Seats are some of the best!

Do keep in mind that all Green seats are reserved and you'll have to make reservations before boarding the train.

I thought I had all the info but one more question. We will probably exchange our voucher at the Ticket Office on May 19 or 20 before activating it on May 22. Can I still make the seat reservations on May 19 or 20 even though it is not activated? Thank you.

You can select your starting date when you exchange the JR Pass. You could do so on the 19th or 20th, after exchange, you can also make any reservations you like for the days that you travel.
