I booked ticket to Tokyo (from SIngapore) on 30/4/2014 for 5 nights. I plan to buy JR pass. (pls advise me which JR pass I have to buy)

pls help and advise me detail itinerary using JR pass to cover Tokyo (Mt Fuji, Theme park for roller coaster ride, Kotyo, etc)

I booked Hotel as well (at Asakusa area), I plan to cancel due to I do not wish to stay at Hotel and want to take train (bullet train) and visit Japan as much as I can. (I can sleep while travelling). please advise me.
I still can extend 1-2 days for flight ticket.

please give more details to cover most cities and this is my first time travelling alone and I am 46 years old female.

really thank you.

Hi there!

I would suggest a 7 Day JR Pass for your travel, as it is about the same price as a normal return ticket Tokyo - Kyoto using the Shinkansen but now you get 7 days of unlimited travel for the same price.

We have a great map to help you find out what train lines are covered by the JR Pass, you can find it here:
http://www.jrpass.com/map

I would also recommend taking a look at http://www.jnto.go.jp/eng/ which is the official Japan tourist website and has great ideas of what to see and do in Japan. This is especially helpful as you seem new to Japan.

Hope this helps!
Daniel
