Hi, we are visiting Japan in September.
We are flying into Osaka & getting to Kyoto still to be decided.
In Kyoto we start a 12 day tour which includes a 7 day rail pass.
After the tour we are staying in Tokyo for 2 extra days then travelling to Kobe, Nara, Osaka area for four days and then flying out of Osaka.
Should we extend our 7 day rail pass to 14 days for our travel after our tour ends?
Thank you for your help
Regards
Robyn

Hello Robyn,
A 7 day JR Pass will be good, as long as you can return to the Kansai Area (Kyoto/Osaka/Kobe) before it expires. Travel between Kansai Area and Tokyo is what will cost the most in your trip and where a 7 day JR Pass will give you the best savings.
Hope you find this useful,
Daniel
