Hi,

First of all, I apologise for my poor english skills, but this is my second language.
I'd like to know if there is any baggage weight limit for travelling in JR trains, specially Shinkanzen?

Thanks,
Letícia

Hi there,

Yes there is an official limit of 30kg per baggage in place. This is not strictly enforce as at the airport, however luggage may be refused if it inconveniences other travellers or if it is very busy.
