Hi,
I'm traveling to Japan in about 1.5 weeks and am in S. Korea at present. Can I buy a ticket from your site and then just get an eticket sort of thing instead of you sending it to an address since I'm on the road travelling? Also, would it be more expensive to buy a 14 day original pass or just buy multiple tickets that go from Tokyo to Kyoto to Hiroshima? I'd also like to go to Mt. Fuji... is that included? Can I just hop on just about any train/bus with the pass? Thanks.
Delivery to S.Korea & 7 vs 14 day?
Hi there!
I'm afraid that we need to send a physical JR Pass coupon to you in order for you to use a Japan Rail Pass - we can deliver to a variety of destinations including Japan if that helps?
A 14 day rail pass costs ¥45,100, and your itinerary ticket costs will break down like this:
- Narita airport terminal 1 > Tokyo: ¥2940, (62mins, 79km)
- Tokyo > Otsuki: ¥2860, (85mins, 87km)
- Otsuki > Kyoto: ¥13640, (253mins, 561km)
- Kyoto > Hiroshima: ¥10790, (112mins, 380km)
- Hiroshima > Tokyo: ¥18050, (292mins, 894km)
- Tokyo > Narita airport terminal 1: ¥2940, (58mins, 79km)
TOTAL: ¥51220 for 6 legs
I have assumed you will return to Narita for a flight out of Japan, and also visit Mt Fuji at Kawaguchiko via a stop at Otsuki (you'll need to get a non-JR train for the last leg to Mt Fuji from Otsuki to Kawaguchiko). As the total ticket costs are greater than the cost of a 14 day pass it will make sense for you to go for a 14 day Japan Rail Pass. Also, in addition to being cheaper than JR tickets all further JR travel will be free, and yes, you can hop on just about any JR train/bus with the pass - you can find full validity details here.
Hope this helps!
