Are there any ferry trips (back and forth) to Korea from Japan? If so, how much would you think it costs and long is the trip and where would the ferry station would be for both countries. I saw in the map that Japan is so close to Korea and am planning to visit a friend for a 2 to 3 days.

Hi Mary,
Yes there are different ferries going to South Korea, the most famous is the JR Beetle between Fukuoka and Pusan. A one way trip is 13,000 yen and a return trip 24,000 yen (it's not covered by the JR Pass). It's a great experience and one I did enjoy very much!
