Hi everyone, pls advise.
Our family of 4 are traveling from Japan. We will be in Tokyo from Aug 27 to Sep 1st. We plan to stay 1 night at a city close to Mt Fuji. So we will be there on the night of the Sep 1st. Then we will go to Kyoto and stay until Sept 5th. Then from Kyoto to Osaka. We will be in Osaka from Sep 5th to Sep 9th. We plan to stay in Tokyo for 2 more nights - Sep 9th and 10th.
With my own research I believe the buying JR passes will be too much. Can someone be kind enough to help us tips that if we do not buy the JR passes what would be the best transportation options. Thank you in advance!

Hi there,
Yes, your research is on point. A JR Pass would only be useful when you add more travel, for example a day trip to Hiroshima or similar.
The fastest option would be to get normal tickets between Tokyo - Kyoto/Osaka.
Kind regards,
Daniel
