Hi all,
Good day to you.
My itinerary is roughly at such :-

Day 1: Day trip to Kamakura from Tokyo
Day 2-4: Tokyo to Lake Kawaguchiko
Day 4-6: Travel from Lake Kawaguchiko to Tokyo to take the Hokuriko Shinkansen from Tokyo to Kanazawa
Day 6-7: Travel back from Kanazawa to Tokyo and explore attractions around Tokyo

Would like to get your advice on whether the Osaka-Tokyo-Hokuriko JR Pass is worth it or not. Because from my understanding the JR Pass does not seem to cover subway metros and underground lines and getting this JR Pass?

Thank you!

Hi there,

For your itinerary, it's likely to be best to purchase your tickets individually, as it'll likely be your most cost-effective option. Because the JR Pass is used predominantly for travel on the national rail network, it gives you limited access to city transport, but will cover the JR Yamanote line and some JR buses in Tokyo.

Kind regards,

Alexis
