Hello everyone.

I am looking to purchase the Keisei skyliner and metro pass for a return trip to Narita and 2 days of metro use (staying in Ueno). However, having trawled Google and this website I cannot see whether it is possible to use the Narita - Ueno trip plus 2 days of metro use and then use the return journey to Narita 2 weeks later? Or is it designed to use the whole thing within 2 days?

The reason being that we have a 2 week stay in Japan and will only be in Tokyo for the first part until we return to Narita at the end of the holiday.

Appreciate all your help.

Lindsey.

Hi there,

The Keisei Skyliner return portion can be used anytime within a 6 month period so you will be fine.

Hope this helps!

Ah that's great news thank you. If you don't mind I'll quickly run my itinerary past you:

Day 1-2 Tokyo (using Narita to Ueno and 2 day metro parts of Keisei Skyliner pass)
Day 3 Fuji-Q Highland or Lake Kawaguchi (return bus from Shinjuku).
Day 4 Tokyo (Activate 7 day JR pass)
Day 5 - 6 Kyoto
Day 7 Nara day trip
Day 8 Hiroshima
Day 9 Miyajima day trip
Day 10 Travel to Zamami (FUK - OKA flight)
Day 11-12 Zamami
Day 13 Travel to Tokyo (OKA - TKY flight)
Day 14 Tokyo (using Ueno - Narita return part of Keisei Skyliner pass)

Can you see any problems or improvements to the itinerary? Also, what is the most cost effective way to get from Henada airport to Ueno on day 13?

Thanks again,

L

Hi there!

Looks like a good trip! As you're in Fukuoka you may want to stop by Hakata before your flight as it's an excellent foodie destination, but other than that I think your travel is very well paced.

On Day 13, I recommend you take the train to Shinagawa and then use the JR Yamanote line to Ueno. It's the simplest choice i think, especially if you have luggage.

Hope this helps!

Mari-San,

One more question if I may. I am looking to get the Suica & Monorail deal upon arrival at Haneda airport from Okinawa. This should cover me for the monorail journey to Hamamatsucho and subsequent train to Ueno along with the final day in Tokyo catching up with anything we have missed. I was just wondering, is it possible to then hand in the Suica card at Narita airport before my international flight home in order to get my deposit back? I only ask because I read somewhere that you may not be able to if you bought it as part of the Suica & Monorail package.

Thank you,

Lindsey.

Hello Mari-San,

I am considering to get the Keisei Skyliner & Tokyo Subway ticket 72 hours pass one way pass for 3500Yen.
All the website I browed, it seems like this pass needs to start using at Narita Aiport but I am not flying into Narita Airport. I am going to Tokyo from Hakone.
I wonder if I can start using this pass in city first and take the "Skyliner" from Ueno to Narita Airport last?

Thank you,

Agnes
