Our family of four will be visiting Tokyo for the first time for 10 days in Feb & would like to know if we should just buy a JR pass (which one?) or only use a SUICA card? We want to go to Gala Yuzawa for 2/3 days and check out the various sites in Shinjuku, Shibuya, Ueno, Asakusa - and if our kids are up to it (10 & 13 yo), maybe a trip to Kyoto. We will be staying near Asakusabashi Station. Thank you, in advance, for your time.

Hi there,
I think I would just get a travel card like Suica for most of your local travel around Tokyo, or buy day tickets for the Tokyo metro (750yen each) if you plan on doing a lot of sightseeing.
Other than that, use a JR Tokyo Wide Pass for going to Gala Yuzawa.
Hope this helps :)
