There is a one day Sendai City pass and I wanted to know if the same stations for local sites would be included in my JR East pass or would I need the Sendai pass separate?

Hi there,
The JR Pass will cover any local JR lines around the Sendai Area. I believe the Sendai City pass you mention is for the bus/tram (?), so depending on where you want to go, this might be a good add-on for the day.
