Hello again,
I have a question regarding coming to Japan with a knife. My trip to Japan is part of a longer trip in Asia and in my main luggage I carry, a small tourist knife with a 10cm blade in a pouch which I use for vegetables and fruit etc when travelling. The blade is not foldable, retractable and of course I do not carry it with me in public places. However, I still cannot find a clear answer as to whether I will be able to enter and leave Japan with it without a problem?

Best regards,
Kruszoe

Hi Kruszoe,

I do not believe this is a problem on your flights, as long as it is checked luggage.

On trains and within Japan, you can carry it in your suitcase, no problem.

Kind regards,
Daniel
