Hi

I'm going to Japan in May for the third time in 3 years - I've bought my JR Pass from JRPass.com each time. I really enjoyed my first ride on the Hayabusa in Gran Class this year but I've now read about the new Shinkansen E6 train for the new Super Komachi service starting in March 2013 - do you know if this service is still due to start in March 2013 and if so do you have a provisional timetable?

Regards

Hi Adam,

I read an article about it in the Yomiuri (newspaper) today and it is (still) scheduled to enter service on the 16th of March 2013.

You can read the article here. It was in Japanese so I have used Google translate to translate it for you in English.

It seems that it will replace the older Komachi trains, so my guess is that it may use the same scheduled as the old Komachi.

Kind Regards,
Daniel
