Hello, my family and I are traveling from Hiroshima to Kyoto on December 28. We are planning to purchase train tickets, when is the earliest I can purchase these tickets (been told we have to wait till 30 days before)? Also where can I purchase these tickets?

Hello Michael,
Yes train tickets can be purchased up to 30 days before hand. This can be done at any JR Station or travel center or if you speak Japanese online via the below link:
