Hello - we are visting Japan for the first time and we are going to be there for a total of 14 days and we are traveling between Tokyo and Osaka for 8 days. I would like to only have to buy the 7 day pass, but with the 8th day I am worried that I would have to buy the 14 day to cover that one extra day. Is there any alternative or I am I stuck at buying the 14 day pass?

Hi there,
Why not buy a 7 day JR Pass, use it for the 7 days you travel the most and then buy normal rail tickets for the remaining day?
