Dear Daniel-san
I'm pondering whether to get a 14-day rail pass (for 2 adults) for our trip, or just a 7-day Hokuriku Arch Pass and pay individually for the other trips. I would appreciate your thoughts.
Arrive Tokyo 27th Sept and stay in Tokyo till 2nd October - only need Narita Express to Shibuya.
I am thinking 2 x Hokuriku Arch passes to start on 2nd October when we travel to Kanazawa
Then on 4th October from Kanazawa to Kyoto. While in Kyoto we plan to go to Nara, and Osaka (twice).
Then on 11th October we travel from Kyoto back to Narita airport to leave on the 12th Oct.
My 2 options are:-
1 - pay Narita to Shibuya tickets separate (27/9), then get a 14-day JR pass to run through the remainder of the trip
2 - pay Narita to Shibuya (27/9) and Kyoto to Narita (11/10) separate, and only get the 7-day Hokuriku Arch Pass to run from 2/10 to 9/10.
My main consideration is convenience, ease of getting trains and seats than cost (although the 21-day pass does not make sense financially).
Thanks for your thoughts
