We arrive in Osaka on 26 th March 2025, at 2 pm.
Then we proceed to Kyoto where our hotel stay is booked for 4 nights.
Plan is to do local sightseeing in Kyoto for 2 days,
28 th March - Nara.
29 th March - Hiroshima & Miyajimaguchi.
30 th March- from Kyoto go to Yamanakakko, stay 2 nights for Mount Fuji.
On 1st April- arrive in Tokyo, do local sightseeing in & around Tokyo till 4 th April.
Fly back to Australia on 5 th April.

Please can you advise me is JR pass worth buying, how many days pass required & also what type of the pass required?

Thanks,
Rajiv

Hi Rajiv,

You have several long-distance trips, and I recommend a 7-day Nationwide JR Pass from the 26th of March to the 1st of April. This will cover your travel from Osaka to Kyoto, your day trips to Nara and Hiroshima, your trip to Yamanakako (partially), and your trip to Tokyo.

For the portion of your journey to Yamanakako not covered by the JR Pass, you will need to purchase separate bus tickets.

As your travel is approaching, ordering your JR Pass online here is the fastest way to secure your exchange order voucher.

I hope this helps!

Kind Regards,

Mariko
