I have the following itinerary and would like advice from the experts.
I will stay the first 6 days in tokyo and will visit Nikko one day and Disney the other. Then one trip with stay over in Hakone and back to tokyo. All by train.
Then we will spend 6 days in Hokkaido skiing by plane.
On our return trip we will arrive in Hiroshima and do Hiroshima, osaka, kyoto and then tokyo.
So we will first to train trips in the first 7 days and then as of the 12th day for another 7 days.
We are a family of 2 adults and 3 children ages 7, 8 and 12. From the costs it seems that a pass for 7 days would be expensive since I am dividing the trips .
Thanks

Hi there,
My suggestion would be to consider either a Kansai-Hiroshima and then purchase a separate return ticket to Tokyo from Kyoto, or to purchase a 7-day JR Pass. This would be for the return trip - for the rest of your trip it makes the most sense to purchase your tickets individually as you won't be moving around much, but if you plan on making use of train travel while in the Hokkaido region then a Hokkaido Rail Pass may be of interest for you.
Kind regards,
Alexis
Thanks loads!!!
