Hokkaido JR Pass & Rental Car ?

Dear Sir,
Greeting's Good Morning & Good Day.
May I ask about JR Pass and Rental Car recommendations in our Hokkaido round island tour ?
Just me and wife travelling in Hokkaido round island touring from 7th. June 2017 to 17th. June 2017. The detailed itinerary are as follows :

By JR transportation : (Flexible 6 JR Pass preferred)
07th.June 2017 from New Chitose Airport to Noboribetsu.
08th.June 2017 from Noboribetsu to Hakodate.
10th.June 2017 from Hakodate to Sapporo.
17th.June 2017 from Sapporo to New Chitose Airport.

Self-Drive Trips by Rental Car : (Toyota compact car. Car Insurance / GPS / ETC / HEP / Car delivery to Hotel for my first day pick-up & last day returning)
12th.June 2017 from Sapporo to Wakkainai.
13th.June 2017 from Wakkainai to Abashiri.
14th.June 2017 from Abashiri to Kushiro.
15th.June 2017 from Kushiro to Sapporo

Kindly advice us what's your best recommendations and quotations.

Hi Lawrence Fong M.Y.,

I think it makes sense to use a JR Hokkaido pass for travel to Hakodate and Sapporo. You could travel by train as well to the other cities but I'm sure that using a car will work fine too.

A JR Hokkaido pass is always the same cost, you can find the pricing here.

Dear Daniel San,

Konichiwa.

1) With the JR Hokkaido pass can I board Hokkaido Shinkansen from Hakodate to Aomori station ?

2) If the JR Hokkaido pass is not allow for Hokkaido Shinkansen, how much per person in 2 way train trips from Hakodate to Aomori return back to Hakodate with the new Hokkaido Shinkansen ?

3) Is the 6 days flexible JR pass still available for JR Hokkaido pass ?
