I'm going to Osaka and Kyoto for a 7 day stay. I wanted to know if getting the JR pass is worth it if it will only be used a few times. I hope to fly in and out of Osaka, and then only go back and forth to Kyoto once. However, I have seen a few different methods for getting to and from Kyoto that look cheaper. Is the JR pass worth the money, or should I just skip it?

Hi there,
If you do only Kyoto and Osaka, then a JR Pass will not help you savings money. It likely would if you did a return to Tokyo.
A normal one way ticket Kyoto - Osaka using a rapid train is just 560yen.
Hope this helps,
Daniel

What about if I go to Nara as well? Would it be worth it then?
