Hi, as I am on borrowed time and quite slow I could do with some advice for my very last trip next March, thanks in advance.
This is what would like to do on a JR7 day pass sandwiched between some days in Tokyo, I,m no youngster anymore and have not much time left. Shinkansen Tokyo- Nagoya, onto Hida train spend 1 night, full day in Takayama then on to Kanazara for 2 days and nights if possible, then Thunderbird to Kyoto via Fukui, stay Kyoto, return Tokyo, would this be too much ? thank you kindly.
IS THIS POSSIBLE FOR A SLOW OLD GIT IN 7 DAYS
Hi there,
Looking at your itinerary plan, I think it would certainly be possible. Traveling on Japanese trains is one of the most convenient ways of public transport anywhere. You will have enough time to make the trip. For easy access, consider booking hotels close to every station.
The Japan Rail Pass will also cover your entire route.
Have a good trip!
Daniel
