hi there, am seeking your advice for following:

Day 1 arrive Kansai Airport, stay nearby Shin-Osaka
Day 2 Osaka
Day 3 Osaka
Day 4 Shin-Osaka to Kyoto, return day trip
Day 5 Shin-Osaka to Kyoto, return day trip
Day 6 Shin-Osaka to Kyoto, return day trip
Day 7 Shin-Osaka to Tokyo
Day 8 Tokyo to attend scheduled event
Day 9 Tokyo to attend scheduled event
Day 10 Tokyo-Nagoya
Day 11 Nagoya
Day 12 fly out of Nagoya Chubu Airport

7-Day JR Pass will cover the above cities. I should exchange (activate) pass on Day 4 and last use on Day 10....am I right?

Thank you.

Hello there,

Yes, the JR Pass covers all travel between the cities you wish to travel to, in addition Tokyo and Osaka have a lot of local JR lines that are also included. The JR Pass will be especially nice here, since you can use it everyday between Shin-Osaka and Kyoto on the Shinkansen.

Day 4-10 would indeed be the best dates.

Hope this helps,
Daniel
