Kobe cruise terminal to Kyoto

Dear Sir,
My husband and I are going to Kyoto after our cruise docks in Kobe cruise terminal.

The Kyoto Ana Crowne hotel gave me following instructions:
 "From Kobe Port Terminal to Kyoto station, you should take Kobe Shin Koutsu Port liner from Port Terminal to Minomiya.and then take JR Tokaitosanyohonsen from Minomiya station to Kyoto station".

I cannot find Minomiya anywhere nor could I find the JR Tokaitosanyohonsen .
Please help.

What is the cheapest way to do this and then go to Tokyo after 4 days? We go back to the US after Tokyo.

Hi there,

I think they mean the station Sannomiya, which is the central station for Kobe. The Tokaido Honsen, or Tokaido main line is simply the name of the train line.

With this information the above route makes sense. I think buying normal tickets will be the cheapest option if you only do a one way to Tokyo after that. A JR Pass would be good if you make a return Tokyo - Kyoto.
