We are planning a trip over 19 days arriving in Tokyo then:

travelling from Tokyo to Nikko.
From Nikko to Tazawa Lake.
From Tazawa Lake to Ginzan onsen.
From Ginzan onsen to Hida-Furukawa.
From Hida-Furukawa to Tsumago.
From Tsumago to Kanazawa.
From Kanasawa to Kansai airport.

should we take a 2 or 3 week-pass?
should we book individual tickets?

thank you

Hi there,

For your itinerary, the 14-day Nationwide JR Pass would actually be your best option. It will comfortably cover almost your entire journey, offer incredible flexibility across multiple train lines, and will optimise your budget nicely compared to buying individual tickets.

I hope this helps!

Kind Regards,

Mariko
