Hello! Seeking support on best approach for Tokyo to Kyoto to Nikko and back to Tokyo. The dates are below. Know JRPass will be necessary but a lot of local travel too so trying to determine what is best - grateful for any guidance!
Tokyo to Kyoto - 10/22
Kyoto to Nikko- 10/27
Nikko to Tokyo - 10/30
Hi there,
The JR Pass would cover travel between all these places, but you'd need to add more travel for a pass to be cost saving.
For example, a day trip from Kyoto to Hiroshima would do it! However, if the above is all your intercity travel, then normal tickets are likely best.
