Hello,

Planning a trip between end of March and beginning of April. Will be starting in Tokyo, staying for 4 nights then traveling to Kyoto. From Kyoto we plan to take day trips to Nara/Uji, Hrioshima/Miyajima and to Osaka, and at the end of each day returning to Kyoto. After 5 nights in Kyoto we will return to Tokyo for our return flight the next day. For this Itinerary would it make sense to get the JR Rail pass or individual tickets?

Thank You

Hi there,

For your trip, a 14-day Nationwide JR Pass could be a great option! It offers unlimited travel on most JR trains throughout Japan, including the Shinkansen bullet trains, making it very convenient for exploring different regions.

Alternatively, you could combine the Kansai-Hiroshima Area Pass with individual train tickets for journeys not covered by the regional pass.

I hope this helps!

Kind Regards,

Mariko
