Understanding Restrictions & Checking Itinerary (JR PASS Worthy it?)

Hello!
I'm arriving in Tokyo on July 20th, and this is my plan for potentially using the JR Pass.

Tuesday, July 23, 2024 -> Tokyo to Kyoto
Wednesday, July 24, 2024 -> Kyoto to Osaka
Thursday, July 25, 2024 -> Osaka
Friday, July 26, 2024 -> Osaka to Fukuoka
Saturday, July 27, 2024 -> Fukuoka
Sunday, July 28, 2024 -> Fukuoka to Hiroshima
Monday, July 29, 2024 ->. Hiroshima to Tokyo

  1. I still need to understand which trains are included and which are not.
  2. Considering this itinerary, is it worth buying the JR Pass?

I appreciate your comments and recommendations. Since I'm in South America, I need to have enough time for the delivery of the JR Pass.

Thanks!
Best Regards

Hi there,

For your itinerary it is likely to be more cost-effective to purchase your tickets individually. However, the JR Pass will cover all of your itinerary and so it is still an option worth looking into if you feel that a pass is better suited for you.

Hope this helps!

Alexis
