Do I need Whole Wide Japan JR Pass for this ? I can't really figure out which JR pass should I get.
Hi there,
The only passes that would cover your itinerary would be the Hokuriku Arch Pass or a regular Japan Rail Pass - the Hokuriku Pass does come at a cheaper cost but it takes you via Hokuriku Shinkansen and then an Express train rather than a direct Shinkansen route meaning travel time is significantly increased, so if you're happy to pay less but have longer journey times it's a good option.
