Hi,
My husband and I are from Singapore. We plan to visit Kyushu for 15 days in late February 2026 which includes a trip to Hiroshima. We will be flying into Fukuoka. We intend to rent a car at Kumamoto for 5 days to travel around Kagoshima, Mount Aso etc. For the next 5 days, we intend to visit Nagasaki, Hiroshima and back to Fukuoka via train. I would like your advice if it is viable to get a 7 days regional pass ie Sanyo-san-in Northern Kyushu pass or is it cheaper just to buy single train ticket from Kumamoto to Nagasaki, Nagasaki to Hiroshima and finally Hiroshima to Fukuoka. Your advice is deeply appreciated. Thank you - Corinne

Hi there,

For your route (Kumamoto - Nagasaki - Hiroshima - Fukuoka), the Sanyo-San'in Northern Kyushu Pass is definitely your best option.

Please find the exchange offices for the Sanyo-San'in Northern Kyushu Pass here.

Kind Regards,

Mariko
