Hello Daniel-san! I am planning on getting the 7-day Osaka-Tokyo Hokuriku Arch Pass for the following itinerary, would you please let me know if this regional pass does not cover any of the trains listed below?
Is the only Shinkansen covered by this regional pass the Hokuriku Shinkansen? Or does it include other Shinkansens as well?
Also, is it possible to make a trip from Tokyo to Kyoto / Osaka to Tokyo late in the evening at around 7/8 pm?
I do not want to risk having the trains stop running on me mid-travel. Thank you so much for your help!
Trip 1: Haneda Airport to Kyoto at around 7 pm
* Tokyo Monorail (airport rapid) - Hamamatsucho to Hamamatsucho Station
* JY Yamanote Line (local) - Tokyo/Ueno to Tokyo Station
* Hokuriku Shinkansen (Kagayaki) - Kanazawa to Kanazawa Station
* JR Thunderbird (Ltd express) - Osaka to Kyoto Station
Trip 2: Kyoto to Osaka
- I am taking one of the following five options:
1) JR Super Hakuto (Kurayoshi Ltd express) - Osaka
2) JR Haruka (Ltd express) - Osaka
3) JR Thunderbird (Ltd express) - Osaka
4) Tokaido-Sanyo (local) - Osaka / Aboshi / Nishi-Akashi / Kakogawa
5) Tokaido-Sanyo (special rapid) - Himeji / Osaka
Trip 3: Osaka to Nara
* JR Yamatoji (rapid train) - Nara / Kamo to Nara Station
Trip 4: Nara back to Osaka
* JR Yamatoji (rapid) - Tennoji to Osaka Station
Trip 5: Osaka to Tokyo
* JR Thunderbird (ltd express) - Kanazawa to Kanazawa Station
* Hokuriku Shinkansen (Kagayaki) - Tokyo to Tokyo Station
Trip 6: Tokyo to Karuizawa
* Hokuriku Shinkansen (Asama) - Nagano to Karuizawa Station
Trip 7: Karuizawa to Shinmisatorara City
* Hokuriku Shinkansen (Hakutaka) -Tokyo to Omiya Station
* JK Keihin-Tohoku Line (rapid) - Ofuna to Minami-Urawa Station
* JM Musashino Line (local) - Minami-Funabashi to Shim-Misato Station
Trip 8: Shinmisatorara City back to Tokyo
* JM Musashino Line (local) - Tokyo to Tokyo Station
