Hi there,
Yes, the Hiroshima - Kansai Area Pass would be a great match here. It would be worth it if you can at least cover your travel up to Himeji with it, as it is valid for 5 consecutive days.
If you need a little more time and flexibility, then a good alternative would be theSanyo-San'in Area Pass.
