Which pass or passes are best for 14 day Tokyo - Kyoto - Osaka -Tokyo with 2 nights Hakone in the middle? We are beginning and ending at Narita airport, staying 4 nts Tokyo (Shinjuku), 2 nts Hakone, 4 nts Kyoto, 2 nts Osaka, 1 nt Tokyo (Ginza). We had been looking at the JRPASS but realized it may be more than needed. Then we considered the Osaka-Tokyo-Hokuriku Arch Pass with Narita Express and Hakone Romance car paid separate, but this pass seems to only be available for 7 days. We are confused as to which passes would best serve our needs.

Hi there,
I'd look at using a 7-day Japan Rail Pass for travel to Kyoto, Osaka and back to Tokyo. These are the parts that cost the most and thus where you can make the best savings using a pass.
Personally, I'd not use the Hokuriku Arch Pass as it adds a lot of extra travel time and has route limitations (for example, can't be used on the Shinkansen to Hakone).
Kind regards,
Daniel
