Hello everyone!

3 days Hakuba
2 days Kyoto
2 days Osaka (going to Nara)
1 day in Nagasaki
2 days in Hiroshima (going to Miyajima Island)
3 days in Tokyo

I am feeling a little nervous because I booked a 14 day JR pass and worried if my JR Passes will allows to get to the places we have booked (excluding private buses and trains not covered by JR), can someone people help me as the HyperDia website and app are not working for me.

Thank you so much in advance!!

Hi there,

Easy answer, all the places you want to go to are covered by the JR Pass. Enjoy!

To add a little more, have a look how you want to travel to Hakuba. There's one train going from Shinjuku (Tokyo) at 7:30 to Hakuba, the train is the Azusa service nr 3. For details see: http://bit.ly/2FlWudb. Likely the easiest way to go there but you'd have to wake up early. Other options involve transfers or additional transport. Such as taking the Shinkansen to Nagano and an express bus from there.

Hope this helps, Daniel

Hi Daniel, thanks so much for your reply.

Do you know how much of our trips will be covered on JR? I know that sounds incredibly vauge, however since we will be taking limited express trains during our journey I am not sure what limited express trains are covered, is the some kind of list somewhere? Also is it possible to print out our

Oops, sorry I didn’t finish my question - - - trip e.g Shinjuku to Hakuba via limited express Azusa 3 and give it to the JR workers to book our tickets in advance. We plan to pick our tickets up as soon as we land in Japan, do you know if they reserve tickets in advance since we will be booking about 12 seats between the two of us. Thank you!
