We are going in April/May to Japan.
When we order a JR pass, can we book already tickets for the shinkansen train before we enter Japan?
if it's not possible, are there still possibilities to travel by train in the golden week?

Hi there,
While trains are crowded during golden week, I have yet to hear from anyone that was unable to travel. In general, we recommend reserving 2 days ahead of time when you travel in this period.
Should that not be possible, then you can always come a bit earlier to the station and queue for a non-reserved seat.
