Hello! My wife and I are taking our second trip to Japan next month. We arrive in February 3rd and leave February 17th. We want to get a 7 day JR pass again, but are only planning on using it a week after we get to Japan. My question is, can we buy our JR pass and have it not start until February 10th? Thanks in advance for your reply!

Hi there,
Yes, you can activate the JR Pass at any date when you arrive in Japan (within 3 months of issue date).
In other words, you don't have to start using it right away.
