I have a child age 5 years 2 months by this January.
My family and I planned to go to Japan by the end of January.
Do I have to buy ticket for my child?

Hi there,
Children aged 0-5 do not require a JR Pass to travel with their families. However, if you require a seat for your child, we recommend purchasing a Child Pass.
Without a Child Pass, the child will be expected to sit on an accompanying adult's lap.
I hope this helps!
Kind Regards,
Mariko
