Could I buy JRP once I am in a trip like this: 4 days in a conference and 4 days tourism?

Good morning.

Please, once I saw that JRP is specific for tourism purpose, I would like to confirm if my case is applicable.

I am going to a conference in Shizuoka 4 days and then my wife and I will travel to tokyo for 4 days of tourism.

My VISA expires in 3 months and it is valid for 15 days once I enter Japan.

Hi there,

You can use the JR Pass if your visa says, Temporary Visitor.

Any other kind of visa does not work.
