Do I need JR pass?

Hello ! My family is travelling to Japan on May 23rd for a 10 day trip.Since we have a 18 month toddler, we are staying in Tokyo-Shinjuku,Shibuya,Asakusa,Akhihabara,Roppongi, maybe Hakone, if my daughter behaves well. Do you suggest that we get a JR pass for this trip?Thank you!

Hi there,

All your travel is within the Greater Tokyo Area and local travel will not cost a lot here. A Japan Rail Pass would have been a good option if you'd made a return, to a city like Kyoto or Osaka using the Shinkansen bullet train.
